Gbene ceremonial cup — Koro people, Central Nigeria
An carved-wood vessel used in ritual offerings, this Gbene cup served in funerals, sacrifices, and agricultural rites. Liquids such as palm wine, beer, or oil were poured into the hollowed abdomen to be shared or presented to ancestors.
